BOARDER INFORMATION / TERMS & CONDITIONS
TheCattery@YassRiver reserves the right to refuse boarding without being required to provide an explanation. Also the right to refuse boarding if your cat is showing signs of illness or distress.
We accept cats from 20 weeks old and must be desexed and fully vaccinated. We do not accept cats with Feline Aids or diabetic cats.
It is your responsibility to advise us if your cat has been ill in the last month.
If your cat has been ill, open wound or infection or symptoms such as vomiting, lethargy, diarrhoea we may not accept your booking.
BOARDER HEALTH
All our Boarders are monitored, however it is incumbent upon the owner to advise of any behavioural or health conditions/concerns; a history from your vet may be required to ensure that we
understand your cats’ situation to enable the best possible care.
In the event the Boarder requires veterinary attention and you are not contactable, the Boarder will be taken to the closest veterinary surgery. The Owner agrees to pay all veterinary expenses and other costs incurred by the TheCattery@YassRiver for treatment of the Boarder.
BOARDER INFORMATION / TERMS & CONDITIONS
PRICE
$35 per calendar day. The first and last day of your stay are charged as full days, this allows you to check in early and check out later in the day.
Christmas School Holidays $41 per calendar day.
From 18 December 2026 To 11 January 2027.
No credit, refund or partial reimbursement will be offered for early collection.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Check IN & Check OUT By appointment only, typically early morning and later afternoon. However given our location flexibility may be available for travellers, all arrivals and departures must be arranged in advance and occur at a mutually convenient time.
BOARDER MEALS
Food is included in the boarding price. Owners of fussy eaters or cats requiring special diets or dietary supplements should provide their own food and advise us of all feeding requirements at the time of booking. There is no additional charge.
WORMING & FLEAS
Please ensure your cat is
up to date with their worming and flea treatment before coming to stay at The Cattery. Flea prevention must be current. All cats are checked for fleas on arrival. The owner understands that if your cat is found to have fleas during their boarding stay, it will be treated for fleas and will be charged for this treatment.
BOARDER MEDICATION
TheCattery@YassRiver makes no representations that it is qualified to prescribe or administer medication to animals and will only do so if it is directed by the Owner. Medications must be supplied or recommended by your vet, please ensure they are clearly labelled and sufficient for the Boarders stay.
We'll do our best to administer medications as instructed to amenable cats only, but we won't risk our own safety if your cat is uncooperative. It is important to note that whilst we take all due care when giving cats their medications, we do not accept any responsibility for any reactions or side affects that may occur. If we are unable to administer your pet’s medication for any reason you will be notified.
Simple medications in food is not charged. All other complex or multiple medication will be charged on a cat-by-cat basis. Generally $5 a day.
The Owner/s releases The Cattery and its employees or agents from all liability for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any animal in the care TheCattery@YassRiver including injury, death or loss while Boarding at TheCattery@YassRiver, its staff or subcontractors. The owners booking at The Cattery represents that he/she is the sole owner of the Boarder free and clear of liens and encumbrances.
By Boarding my Cat means I have read, understood and agree to the Boarder Information and Terms and Conditions for my Cat.
I declare answers provided on the Booking Form are accurate. Behavioural and/or health issues have been listed.
Christmas School Holiday Bookings are in exceptionally high demand, as such please make your booking with consideration as many customers are turned away to enable us to reserve your spot. Any Payment is your Acceptance of TheCattery@YassRiver Christmas Holidays 2024/2025 Terms & Conditions below.
Bookings Confirmed from 3 December 2024
Payment In-Full by COB the day you receive booking confirmation. If payment
In-Full is not received it will be assumed that your plans have changed and you no longer wish to retain your booking.
Booking Cancellation within 24 hours of payment In-Full (cooling off period) – no fee charged and any monies refunded. Cancellations beyond 24 hours - monies will be credited towards future bookings, expiring 12 months from your cancellation date. Refunds will not be given if you decide to drop off later or pick up earlier regardless of circumstance or reason.
