BOARDER INFORMATION / TERMS & CONDITIONS

TheCattery@YassRiver reserves the right to refuse boarding without being required to provide an explanation. Also the right to refuse boarding if your cat is showing signs of illness or distress.

We accept cats from 20 weeks old and must be desexed and fully vaccinated. We do not accept cats with Feline Aids or diabetic cats.
 

It is your responsibility to advise us  if your cat has been ill in the last month.

If your cat has been ill, open wound or infection or symptoms such as vomiting, lethargy, diarrhoea we may not accept your booking. 

BOARDER HEALTH 

All our Boarders are monitored,

however it is incumbent upon the

owner to advise of any behavioural

or health conditions/concerns;

a history from your vet may be

required to ensure that we

understand your cats’ situation

to enable the best possible care.

​In the event the Boarder requires veterinary attention and you are not contactable, the Boarder will be taken to the closest veterinary surgery. The Owner agrees to pay all veterinary expenses and other costs incurred by the TheCattery@YassRiver for treatment of the Boarder.

WORMING & FLEAS 

Please ensure the Boarder is

up to date with their worming and flea treatment before coming to stay at The Cattery.  Flea prevention must be current. All Boarders are checked for fleas on arrival. The owner understands that  if The Boarder is found to have fleas during their boarding stay, it will be treated for fleas and will be charged for this treatment.

BOARDING PRICES  
Prices include individual accommodation.  Supplied is comfortable bedding, food, toys and play.   Costs are calculated per calendar day, not per night. The first and last day are calculated as full days regardless of time of admission or departure.  No refund or credit will be offered for early collection.  ​Boarding Payment Due Prior To or on IN Date.

The Cost $27 per calendar day.  

It is however $31 a day for Christmas & January School Holidays & ALL Public Holidays throughout the Year.

Simple Medications in Food is not charged.  All other, complex or multiple medication will be based on a cat-by-cat basis, generally

$2 - $5 a day.

HOURS OF OPERATION FOR IN & OUT 

Check IN and Check OUT - generally Business Hours, however because of our location we do offer some flexibility as you travel the Hume Highway. Considerate mutually convenient times. 

BOARDER MEALS  

Food is included in the Boarding price.  ROYAL CANIN Dry Food and brand/fresh wet food.  It is recommended to prevent stomach upset for you to bring in your pets food with them. Providing your own food for fussy cats is also permitted and if your cat is on a special diet or any dietary supplements, for health reasons, please advise at time of Booking and provide enough for the Boarding period in individual portions. 

BOARDER MEDICATION  

TheCattery@YassRiver makes no representations that it is qualified to prescribe or administer medication to animals and will only do so if it is directed by the Owner.  Medications must be supplied or recommended by your vet, please ensure they are clearly labelled and sufficient for the Boarders stay.

We'll do our best to administer medications as instructed to amenable cats only, but we won't risk our own safety if your cat is uncooperative. It is important to note that whilst we take all due care when giving cats their medications, we do not accept any responsibility for any reactions or side affects that may occur. If we are unable to administer your pet’s medication for any reason you will be notified.

BOOKING & PAYMENTS 

Your BOOKING will now be CONFIRMED with Completion of

BOOKING FORM and DEPOSIT 20%

 

Remaining 80% PAID on IN date

 

Deposits are refundable if booking cancelled within 24 hours of TheCattery@YassRiver  confirming receipt of your deposit

(​Cooling-off period)

If booking cancelled after 24 hours...

deposits will be credited towards future bookings

(bookings made within 12 months of the original cancellation date)

The Owner/s releases The Cattery and its employees or agents from all liability for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any animal in the care TheCattery@YassRiver including injury, death or loss while Boarding at TheCattery@YassRiver, its staff or subcontractors.  The owners booking at The Cattery represents that he/she is the sole owner of the Boarder free and clear of liens and encumbrances.   

By Boarding my Cat means I  have read, understood  and agree to the Boarder Information and Terms and Conditions for my Cat.    

I declare answers provided on the Booking Form are accurate. Behavioural and/or health issues have been listed.
